Radio Frequency (RF) clock systems have become the standard in educational facilities, yet many RF clock systems on the market are lacking. At National Time & Signal, we've designed an RF clock system that surpasses competitors thanks to more than a century of experience in the industry. The TimeCast™ wireless clock system is designed to be cost-effective, easy to install and simple to maintain.
The TimeCast™ clock system is a product family that uses two-way RF communication to keep accurate time. A base station forms the foundation of the clock network by keeping time through a local or SNTP time server. A low-wattage transmitter broadcasts time and other data to nearby clocks. This intelligent system uses nearby clocks to send information to clocks farther away.
This “flood” of time data happens in a fraction of a second across your facility, allowing accuracy on every clock face on the property. The two-way transmission allows for verification of time synchronization, battery level, signal strength and much more. Access this information through National Time's cloud service and view all information in a user-friendly format.
All clocks in the TimeCast™ system dual as transmitters, eliminating the need for a large and costly master transmitter. This design supports ease of installation for contractors while helping facilities save on clock systems.
TimeCast™ clocks offer various features that benefit all types of facilities. Notable features include:
With two-way RF communication, the base station in the TimeCast™ system sends out correction data and receives diagnostic data from every clock. Many RF communication clock systems are one-way and only send out correction data. This additional diagnostic data is valuable for understanding the health of your clocks and any maintenance steps you can take before encountering major issues.
All TimeCast™ wireless clock systems have free access to the cloud-based interface that compiles all diagnostic data in a single location. The diagnostic platform lets you know if you're experiencing connectivity issues, low batteries or other malfunctions. You can find this information for specific clocks in the system, so you always know where new batteries or repairs are needed.
Every clock features a user help display that facilitates the installation process. Find clear instructions on the back for setting your clock, and use the unique QR code to direct to the cloud diagnostic system when needed. These user help displays are unique to the industry and eliminate confusion in the setup process.
Power needs can vary based on the layout of your facility and your preference for upkeep. TimeCast™ clocks can use battery power, hard wiring or wall transformers, so you can keep time in a way that works for you. Our battery-powered clocks use alkaline batteries for more eco-friendly and cost-effective operation.
This system uses low energy and ISM frequency bands that do not require FCC site licensing or the associated fees.

The station features a 4-line display for user-friendly setup and functions with a 5VDC micro USB wall plug for installations without PoE. Use a local or internet SNTP time server to keep accurate time through the LAN connection.
All base stations feature a battery-free backup system to keep time during outages of up to 10 days. TimeCast™ signals transmit to all nearby clocks, and the base station gathers information from the secondary clocks and stores it locally or uploads it to the National Time cloud service.

Cryptic blinking error codes are a thing of the past, with information like current time, battery level, signal strength spelled out in plain English. You can even trigger re-calibration of the clock's hands or make adjustments to its settings using the built-in menus.
Once your TimeCast™ system is up and running, you can keep an eye on your system's performance using the free NATSCO Device Cloud, which includes the status of every clock on your system, as well as email alerts for issues like low battery status.
TimeCast™ analog clocks are battery-powered and hang in any location without additional wiring. With only three AA batteries, these clocks have a life expectancy of 2.5 years. You can double the life expectancy with six-battery operation.
If you'd prefer a wired version of the analog clocks, the TimeCast™ system includes 24V, 120V hard wired and 120V wall transformer options. Our 24V models work with AC and DC power and offer a low-cost installation option. Hard wired clocks are compatible with standard electrical boxes, and wall transformers work with any standard 120V outlet.
All analog clocks feature:
The 12-inch clocks are made from durable ABS with shatter-proof polycarbonate lenses. The 16-inch models have steel cases with shatter-proof lenses, and a sturdy steel mounting ring and bracket keep it stable.

This design keeps the time easy to read and gentle on the eyes while saving power during the night. Digital clocks are available in 2.3-inch and 4-inch wide bar digits. Six-digit displays are also available.
Much like the analog clocks, the digital products offer 24V, 120V hard wired and 120V wall transformer. Digit segments are epoxy-filled for longevity, and have a durable metal housing for extra protection.
